Following on from the previous article: PayPal Guest Credit Card payments still not working. I finally received a possible explanation for why my customers cannot pay my invoices using a credit card without logging into PayPal.
The latest information I have been given today after 4 weeks of no real answers is that PayPal will no longer accept Guest Credit Card payments due to policy changes to be in compliance with the Australian Government’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act.
This means that your options to pay are to either use a PayPal account (just create the free account and link the desired credit card to it), or via Bank Transfer / ACH (Bank details on the Partner Portal, or available on request).
We are still trying to work with PayPal to get this resolved, but for now those are the payment options available. Please note that we cannot accept payment via cheque/check.
