Back on the 23rd February I posted that I was in the process of Saving the Developing for Dynamics GP blog, my blog from my Microsoft days.
It has taken about four weeks of work, but I am very pleased to be able to announce that the work is complete and the relevant content from the Developing for Dynamics GP blog is now available from this blog.

I recently had a case where the customer was able to install the Microsoft Dynamics GP client on a machine, but when they clicked on the shortcut nothing happened. Even dragging the DYNAMICS.SET launch file onto the DYNAMICS.EXE application did nothing. In fact, any thing that involved getting the Dexterity Runtime Engine DYNAMICS.EXE to launch failed.

You know that I love the Support Debugging Tool and think that it is a wonderful tool to help administer and support your Microsoft Dynamics GP systems. Well, as the creator of the tool, I will admit that I am just a little biased.
But, it is really cool and exciting for me when I see other people in the community use the Support Debugging Tool in various ways to solve problems.
Last week Mariano, Siva and Rubal all posted articles on using the Support Debugging Tool. Mariano even used the new feature in Build 15 which allows non-logging triggers to programmatically start and stop a logging trigger so that the captured logs are surgically targetted to the problem area.

Now that Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 has been released, the pundits and speculators are starting to focus on the next version of Microsoft Dynamics GP, codenamed GP “12”.
There have already been mention of some of the cool architecture changes coming with the mention of the GP “12” Web Client and with screenshots from the live demonstration of the early web client code.

Back on the 1st July 2000, Australia changed its sales tax system from a wholesale sales tax with various rates (depending on the item) to a Goods and Services Tax (GST) with a fixed 10% rate.
To go with the change in the tax system, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) also brought in a new tax return reporting system known as the Business Activity Statement.
