I have been burnt before with crowd funded projects (I supported 3 smartwatches and only one make it to production and it under-delivered 🙁 ), so I was wary of getting involved again. However, this was the second generation of the GPD Pocket and demo devices had already been delivered to a number of YouTube reviewers. I felt fairly safe to get involved with crowd funding again, as this would give me a discount and get the device earlier.

Once I have everything updated, I usually Compile All to make sure that all the code is compiled and that there are no compile time errors. Don’t want any of those pesky “FP: Script Not Found” errors you get if you have saved but not compiled a script.

David Meego - Click for blog homepageOn Thursday 12th November 2015, the Microsoft Store in Sydney opened. Located at Westfield Sydney on the Pitt Street Mall, this is the first flagship Microsoft Store to be opened outside of North America and is a wonderful commitment to the Australian market.

Along with the opening of the store was the Australian launch of the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book computers announced at the Microsoft Windows 10 Devices Briefing.

Well, Cortana is coming to Windows 10. In fact, if you have the latest Technical Preview of Windows 10 downloaded (as part of the Windows Insider program) you can already start playing with Cortana. Just make sure all the language and regional settings are set to US.

Using the Windows Insider App on Windows Phone 8.1 you can register for the over the air updates. However, the update is not available to everyone yet as it has only been released for a subset of Lumia phones.
