David Meego - Click for blog homepageWhen GP Power Tools Build 32 was released, it added powerful Custom Table functionality which allows for a developer to create a custom table definition and have that table created in each company automatically. The table can then be used in a similar fashion to a native Dexterity table using a suite of Custom Table Buffer Helper Functions.

This article updates the original article (below), which explained how to create a Custom Forms Module demonstration project, to use Custom Tables instead of SQL Tables for a much faster and simpler implementation.

ANZAC Day 2023

David Meego - Click for blog homepageToday on 25th of April in Australia and New Zealand as well as many locations around the world, ANZAC day is being commemorated with dawn services and a day of remembrance. ANZAC day was originally set aside to honour the young men of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corp who served and died in the Great War of 1914-1918. The ANZAC soldiers served in many fields of combat during World War I but are mostly remembered for their actions on the Western Front in France and Gallipoli in Turkey.

Don’t use Administrative Shares in your Dynamics GP Launch File

David Meego - Click for blog homepageI am writing this article after a good friend, who is a Microsoft Dynamics GP administrator, was having some unexplained issues in his test environment.

The issue was originally identified because GP Power ToolsProduct Version Validation feature started reporting a dictionary version mismatch for a couple of Dexterity customization dictionaries. What made it really weird was that it only happened for the test windows’ user and and not for his administrator user account.
