#GPPT Don’t miss the free GP Power Tools Partner Only Training Webinar

David Meego - Click for blog homepageMake sure you register for the free GP Power Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP partner only training webinar scheduled for tomorrow morning (US Time).

GP Power Tools is the ultimate suite of tools that every Microsoft Dynamics GP site globally should be using. Simply said, it makes Microsoft Dynamics GP easier and simpler to use, customise, administer and support.Don’t just take my word for it, here are testimonials from users in the community:

We love the Window Position Memory in GP Power Tools. The users can set their screen size and position. They love it!
— Anand Ganatra, Webasto Thermo & Comfort Australia Pty Ltd

The colour per company is a life saver, I can’t even count how many times people would do a entire days’ worth of work before we turned this on for out test company. The Prevent application windows from opening outside the visible desktop area setting is absolutely mandatory for any Citrix or Terminal server deployment.
— Arthur Achilleos, Aidacare

What tables hold info for this window? What security task do users need to access this card? Who has this security task? Does my user have the right dex.ini file? GP Power Tools helps you answer all of these questions & more! I remember being a GP admin, and not having GPPT, and trying to answer some of the questions above. Please don’t make me go back there again!!
Frank Heslin, Examworks

GP Power Tools takes the mystery out of the “Behind the Scenes” table structure of Microsoft Dynamics GP. I can’t tell you how many times I have used the Resource Information window when I am creating new reports using SmartList Builder or SmartList Designer. I love that I can also see if the related tables have any records. This has saved me so many times when there are multiple tables associated with a window. I love that I can use the same search to see which users have access to that window. This has been so helpful when training clients on a new process. If we decided that a new key bit of info was going to be saved on a window…we need to make sure everyone can access that window! Then we need to know which tables to use to report back that data. I tried figuring all of this out before (manually) and it took forever!!
Amber Bell, Training Dynamo

As a GP system administrator, I’ve been using GP Power Tools since the very first days when it was still called Support Debugging Tools (SDT). But GPPT has no comparison with SDT, as it has garnered so many more features after its name change, that it has become an invaluable tool for every company to administer GP, and even more invaluable to perform system validation before you do a major system upgrade and/or move GP to an entire new system. Such tasks are now handled in a breeze today with GPPT, rather than painfully gather various SQL scripts from support to do all the mundane job.
Beat Bucher, Ultra Electronics Forensic Technology

GP Power Tools – Not just for administrators! GP Power Tools has tons of awesome features for administrators, but some of my favorite features are for end users!  If you are like me, you are always resizing windows and rearranging them on your screen to make it easier to see more data at once – GP Power Tools has a cool feature that allows the system to ‘remember’ window sizes and locations – I LOVE THIS FEATURE!!! Another VERY COOL feature is the ‘Find a Window’ feature – I just add that to my GP menu and finding a window is just a click away – simply click the button and type all or part of the window name for easy navigation!
Shawn Dorward, Interdyn Artis
