All I can say is that the Microsoft Dynamics GP community will be amazed with some of the new features and will love the improvements above and beyond the Support Debugging Tool. I will be starting a “What’s New” in GP Power Tools series of posts soon.

Anyhow, the subject of today’s post is an issue in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 that I discovered while testing the GP Power Tools code.

Winthrop Development Consultants are pleased to announce the release of the Visual Studio Integration Toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics GP (VSIT).

The Visual Studio Integration Toolkit replaces Menus for Visual Studio Tools and is now available for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010, Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 (including GP 2013 R2) and also for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015.

Where is Menus for Visual Studio Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015?

This article follows on from the Where is the Support Debugging Tool for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015? post from yesterday.

Back in May 2008 I was at the Microsoft Dynamics GP Technical Airlift in Fargo, ND, USA and was attending Developer Toolkit training run by Steve Gray.  On the last day of the training I came up with an idea which would allow menu navigation entries to be dynamically created and called via an API exposed to Visual Studio Tools. Encouraged by Steve and Leslie Vail I turned the concept into a prototype by the end of the day. Menus for Visual Studio Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP was born.

Where is the Support Debugging Tool for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015?

As most of you know I am the developer of the Support Debugging Tool for Microsoft Dynamics GP (SDT).

The SDT has been provided free of charge to Partners and Customers (via their partners) in the Dynamics community since its release in September 2008. The tool and its feature set have come a long way from the public release of build 9 for GP versions 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 now available for download

David Meego - Click for blog homepageIf you have been watching the Microsoft Dynamics GP blogosphere for the last couple of days you will have seen the news that Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 has been released.

This release comes almost two years since the release of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 and six months after the release of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 R2.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 includes over 120 new features as well as some underlying technology improvements such as the Service Based Architecture (SBA) including the .Net interop. See the links below for more information and the download pages.
