For the latest versions of Microsoft Dynamics GP, only supported releases (build 20.2 or later) can be registered, but it is recommended to be on the latest build (build 21). This requirement is to ensure support for the subscription changes coming in 2027.

Today, I had a report that the latest build 25.1 release of GP Power Tools was causing an Unhandled Script Exception error when opening certain windows within Microsoft Dynamics GP.
I was able to replicate the issue and have released a 25.2 hotfix which resolves the problem.

As mentioned at the beginning of May, Winthrop Development Consultants will distribute all of its products directly from 01-Jul-2018. Well, the day has arrived and the distribution arrangement with Mekorma has now ended.
We have been working hard to make the transition as painless as possible for both Partners and Customers and the article below should hopefully answer any questions you might still have.

My trip to South Africa is completed and the GPUG Amplify South Africa conference is over for another year.
I am looking forward to coming back again to meet with the Microsoft Dynamics GP community in South Africa.
After a fantastic few days leading up to the conference, the first day of GPUG Amplify South Africa 2018 has finally arrived.
Jennifer accompanied me on the first day to help Angie Ryan and Katie Froeber with registration and then be there later for the end of the day when there were cocktails.
I will explain more in an article soon, but I will need to be relatively brief with my coverage of the GPUG Amplify South Africa 2018 conference. Needless to say Jennifer and I had a fantastic time in South Africa.
From my perspective, it was wonderful to have my wife along for the trip so she could meet some of the great people I work with… my “Conference Buddies”. That’s what I call my friends in the Microsoft Dynamics GP community that I only catch up with at conferences.
Early in the morning of Wednesday 16th May, my wife, Jennifer, and I will be getting onto a flight to South Africa to attend the GPUG Amplify South Africa 2018 conference being held on the 21st and 22nd of May 2018 in Johannesburg.
We are looking forward to catching up with friends in the Microsoft Dynamics GP community in Africa and also with the other international guests coming to the conference.

Please note that these builds are required to ensure that the products remain registered after 01-Jul-2018. All customers will need to update their systems before their current subscriptions expire to avoid interruptions to their registrations. Install over the top of the existing builds, no need to uninstall.

Winthrop Development Consultants has been working closely with Mekorma to distribute its product range for the last two years. Back in November 2017, we moved our free Visual Studio Integration Toolkit (VSIT) product back to Winthrop. Now we are pleased to announce that the remaining products; GP Power Tools (GPPT) and Batch Posting Service Toolkit (BPST) will be distributed directly by Winthrop Development Consultants from July 2018.

Please download the latest Visual Studio Integration Toolkit build for your version to fix (or avoid) receiving subscription expiry warnings.
With the change in Registration System for Visual Studio Integration Toolkit back in November last year, the plan was to have the subscription automatically extend for another twelve months for a system as long as it was internet connected.
However, an issue was recently found that means that the subscription will not extend until after it has expired and started the 30 day grace period.Read more »
