#Dexterity Announcing Dexterity Training before Community Summit 2023 in Charlotte, NC, USA

As is becoming a tradition, I will once again be running the 5-day Dexterity training class in the week before the Community Summit conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA in October. Please register for the training now and plan to be in Charlotte for the week before the conference.

Dexterity is the development environment that Microsoft Dynamics GP is built on and the best tool to use for any customization to the user interface of the product. Knowledge of Dexterity is vital for anyone customizing Dynamics GP even when using other development tools such as GP Power Tools – Developer Tools module, Visual Studio Tools (C# or VB .Net) or “End of Life” VBA (Visual Basic for Application).

#MySummitNA Last Call for Community Summit 2023 Session Ideas

The Community Summit 2023 conference will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA on 15^th to 20^th October 2023.

Winthrop Development Consultants will be there to run Dexterity Training in the week before the conference (9^th to 13^th October) and have a booth at the Expo as well as present some sessions.

The latest version of Microsoft Dynamics GP was released today, and it contains a number of new features and bug fixes. Winthrop Development Consultants has already updated its products for this Microsoft Dynamics GP 18.5 – October 2022 release. They are now built against the final build and so are no longer beta builds.

#SummitNA Winthrop Development Consultants at Community Summit Orlando 2022

This Friday, I will start my flights to the USA to get to Community Summit 2022 in Orlando. I will be flying to Singapore first and then getting on the world’s longest flight: Singapore Airlines from Singapore to New York with a flight time of 18 hours and 25 minutes.

For the first week I will be staying at the Caribe Royale hotel while I am running a 5-day Dexterity Fundamentals Bootcamp training course. Then during the Community Summit 2022 Conference being held on October 10-13, 2022, I will be at the Gaylord Palms Resort, Kissimmee, Orlando, Florida, USA.

My friend, Tim Wappat from the UK, will be helping me out at the Winthrop Development Consultants booth in the Expo Hall. Please come see us at Booth 829. Read on for more information on the two training classes and six sessions I am presenting.

#GPPT GP Power Tools Training at Community Summit 2022 in Orlando, FL, USA

I am pleased to announce that as well as the Dexterity Training there will be GP Power Tools training offered by the GPUG Academy during the Academy days before Community Summit in Orlando, Florida, USA.

The training will be presented as a single full day course on Monday 10^th October 2022, running from 8:00am to 5:00pm with lunch included.

We have lots of new functionality and enhancements to cover with the release of Build 29 of GP Power Tools recently.

So once I decided to go to Community Summit in Orlando, Florida, USA in October, I planned to run a 5 day Dexterity Fundamentals Bootcamp in the week beforehand. Community Summit Conference 2021, hosted by Dynamic Communities (DC), is happening right now in Houston, Texas, USA until from 12^th to 15^th October 2021.

I am presenting a session on Microsoft Dynamics GP development tools as the first session of the day on Friday. As I am still unable to leave Australia due to the pandemic border closures, the session has been pre-recorded and will be run as a video presentation.

#GPUG Partners: Ignore User Groups at your own peril

After attending the User Group Summit Australia conference in Melbourne in August 2019, I feel compelled to write another opinion article.

The conference was fantastic with over 600 attendees for the inaugural event with lots of great local and international presenters as well as many exhibitors and sponsors.

But the number of Microsoft Dynamics GP customer sites represented was extremely low and quite disappointing. After investing time and money to attend and exhibit at a conference, it feels like a missed opportunity when the target audience is barely represented.
