Selling GP Power Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP has always been an interesting affair. If you can get a customer to sit and watch a demo (live or on video from the GPPT Portal), they immediately see the benefits and want the product. However, it is usually the people who work with the product day to day who see the demo and then they find it hard to sell to management.
You might have seen my posts on Twitter and Facebook recently about my new toy mini laptop PC, the crowd funded GPD Pocket 2.
I have been burnt before with crowd funded projects (I supported 3 smartwatches and only one make it to production and it under-delivered 🙁 ), so I was wary of getting involved again. However, this was the second generation of the GPD Pocket and demo devices had already been delivered to a number of YouTube reviewers. I felt fairly safe to get involved with crowd funding again, as this would give me a discount and get the device earlier.
If you are using GP Power Tools, Batch Posting Service Toolkit, or Visual Studio Integration Toolkit and are having registration issues there is most probably a very simple solution.
This article assumes that your GP Power Tools or Batch Posting Service Toolkit subscriptions are current. Visual Studio Integration Toolkit has free modules for which their subscription is always current.

About seven weeks ago, my good friend, fellow MVP & GPUG All-Star, blogger and past co-presenter, Shawn Dorward‘s life was turned upside down when his eighteen year old son, Taylor was involved in a drowning accident.

Winthrop Development Consultants is pleased to announce Build 9 of release of Batch Posting Service Toolkit (BPST) for Microsoft Dynamics GP was released on 10-Jul-2018.
This build incorporates further improvements to the underlying Registration and Update Check systems required for the transition of the distribution channel to Winthrop Development Consultants.
This article aims to help with the installation and updating of Batch Posting Service Toolkit to the latest builds.
For the latest versions of Microsoft Dynamics GP, only supported releases (build 13 or later) can be registered, but it is recommended to be on the latest build (build 15).

As mentioned at the beginning of May, Winthrop Development Consultants will distribute all of its products directly from 01-Jul-2018. Well, the day has arrived and the distribution arrangement with Mekorma has now ended.
We have been working hard to make the transition as painless as possible for both Partners and Customers and the article below should hopefully answer any questions you might still have.

Please note that these builds are required to ensure that the products remain registered after 01-Jul-2018. All customers will need to update their systems before their current subscriptions expire to avoid interruptions to their registrations. Install over the top of the existing builds, no need to uninstall.

This build needs to be installed on all workstations at all customer sites before their current subscriptions expire to ensure a smooth change over of registration systems. Install over the top of the existing build, no need to uninstall.
