#GPPT Fixed Issue with Integration Manager Standard Adapters failing

David Meego - Click for blog homepageThis article is an informational post to help anyone who might have come across this issue with Integration Manager and is searching online for a solution.

The issue is Integration Manager only imports a few transactions before failing when using the Standard Adapters for some integrations.

One possible cause for this issue was fixed many months ago in GP Power Tools code, but as not all sites keep up to date with their software, it might still be occurring. A recent support case for this issue is the reason for publishing this article.

Working with Dates in Integration Manager VBScript

Today I worked with my colleague Rob on an Integration Manager for Microsoft Dynamics GP issue.

We had a customer who was importing some General Ledger journals into their system and wished for the journals to be set up as reversing journals with the Reversing Date set up as the first date of the next month. The plan was to use the following script to manipulate the Transaction Date to create the Reversing Date.

Integration Manager Customer Address Update does not generate an error and does not update

I worked on a Integration Manager 2010 case recently for a Customer update integration.  We ran across an issue when the customer you are updating has the Send Email Statement box marked in the Customer Maintenance Option window.  I also had the previous Customer’s address getting updated with the information from the Customer that had the Send Email Statements marked.

Fixed Asset Integration error: “String was not recognized as a valid DateTime”

I recently had a support case, running a Fixed Asset integration with Integration Manager, where we received the following error:

DOC 1 ERROR: System.FormatException: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.

at System.DateTimeParse.Parse(String s, DateTimeFormatInfo dtfi, DateTimeStyles styles)
at System.DateTime.Parse(String s, IFormatProvider provider)
at System.Convert.ToDateTime(String value, IFormatProvider provider)

Copying Record Notes and OLE Attachments between Companies

Following on from last week’s post on OLE Attachments and Record Notes, I can now get to the reason for the interest in notes and OLE attachments.

The partner was trying to copy master records for Vendors from one company to a new company.  They wanted to use SmartList to export the Vendor data out of the source company and then use Integration Manager to bring the data into the target company.  The problem was how to handle the record notes that may be attached and how to handle the OLE attachments if they existed.

Using Integration Manager with Analytical Accounting

When you use Integration Manager on a system with Analytical Accounting (AA) installed, integrations often fail because Analytical Accounting will open windows which are unhandled by Integration Manager. However, there are time when you still want to use Integration Manager to import transactions where the Analytical Accounting information is left blank.
