I ran across an issue a while back that a developer was running into after installing Dynamics SL 2011 on a machine with Dynamics GP 2010 (and Dynamics GP 10). Then in the next few days we had two more cases of the same issue (and again here, here, and here). But I’m getting ahead of myself in that we didn’t notice that was a common thread until the third case.

While working on a case recently with a colleague we noticed that a user received a security privileges error for some windows which were part of Analytical Accounting.
We used the Support Debugging Tool’s Security Information window to have a look at what was happening and found that there were Security Tasks and Security Roles set up for Analytical Accounting, but due to some data issues they were not working properly.

I have had a number of support cases and newsgroup posts recently about Customization to the Cash Receipts (RM_Cash_Receipts) window failing to work for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 when they worked for previous versions.
