My trip to South Africa is completed and the GPUG Amplify South Africa conference is over for another year.
I am looking forward to coming back again to meet with the Microsoft Dynamics GP community in South Africa.
After a fantastic few days leading up to the conference, the first day of GPUG Amplify South Africa 2018 has finally arrived.
Jennifer accompanied me on the first day to help Angie Ryan and Katie Froeber with registration and then be there later for the end of the day when there were cocktails.
I will explain more in an article soon, but I will need to be relatively brief with my coverage of the GPUG Amplify South Africa 2018 conference. Needless to say Jennifer and I had a fantastic time in South Africa.
From my perspective, it was wonderful to have my wife along for the trip so she could meet some of the great people I work with… my “Conference Buddies”. That’s what I call my friends in the Microsoft Dynamics GP community that I only catch up with at conferences.
Early in the morning of Wednesday 16th May, my wife, Jennifer, and I will be getting onto a flight to South Africa to attend the GPUG Amplify South Africa 2018 conference being held on the 21st and 22nd of May 2018 in Johannesburg.
We are looking forward to catching up with friends in the Microsoft Dynamics GP community in Africa and also with the other international guests coming to the conference.
Read on for details of the special offer for conference attendees.
Calling all of the Microsoft Dynamics GP community in Africa, don’t miss out on your chance to get the special Early Bird pricing for GPUG Amplify South Africa registration.

Make sure you register for the free GP Power Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP partner only training webinar scheduled for tomorrow morning (US Time).
GP Power Tools is the ultimate suite of tools that every Microsoft Dynamics GP site globally should be using. Simply said, it makes Microsoft Dynamics GP easier and simpler to use, customise, administer and support.
GP Power Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP is an amazing collection of tools that will make using, supporting, developing and administering Microsoft Dynamics GP simpler, easier and just better.
This is an addon product that EVERY Microsoft Dynamics GP site around the world should have installed on every workstation. I firmly believe this statement and after seeing the product in action you will to.
While we are discussing ranges and in particular indexed ranges, it is worth having a discussion on what a “Well Behaved” range is.
If you have not read the previous article on Future Proof range setting, check it out below:
This is another one of those “Musgravian” principles.
When I train people on Dexterity I show them a better method to set indexed ranges than the style you will often see in older code or by developers who have not yet been “converted”.
I am please to announce that there will be GP Power Tools training offered by the GPUG Academy on the Monday before GPUG Summit 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee.
We will be running Introduction to GP Power Tools in the morning and Advanced GP Power Tools Tricks and Tips in the afternoon of Monday 9th October 2017.
