#MSDynGP #MySummitNA Dynamics GP Development Training at Community Summit Nashville 2026

Calling all Microsoft Dynamics GP customers and partners.
It is vital that you have “in-house” knowledge and skills to support and maintain your customizations. With the upcoming changes to the Microsoft Dynamics GP support and consulting landscape, if you work with any customizations to your Microsoft Dynamics GP system, you need to know how to maintain them.
David Musgrave from Winthrop Development Consultants will be running two extremely valuable development training courses in the lead up to Community Summit 2026, and now is the time to register. There is no guarantee these classes will be offered again.
The conference runs from the 11th to 15th October 2026 and there will be pre-conference training in the week before the conference as well as Academy classes as part of the conference.
Dexterity Development Training
- When: Monday 5th to Friday 9th October 2026 – the week prior to the conference
- Duration: 5 full days
- Audience: Anyone making or working with customizations in Microsoft Dynamics GP. A basic level of understanding of programming would be helpful, but no prior development knowledge is required.
Dexterity is the native development environment for Microsoft Dynamics GP and if you are planning to do any customization work with Microsoft Dynamics GP or have customizations that need to be supported and maintained using any development tool, this class is a must.
Take this opportunity to learn from David Musgrave and his more than 30 years of Dexterity Development experience, both as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and as a Microsoft Employee.
The class will help developers understand the workings of GP and is worthwhile regardless of what development language or tools you end up using.
If you are looking to replacing any VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) now that it is “End of Life”, this training will help you work with Dexterity, or the scripting used in the GP Power Tools – Developer Tools module.
If you are a developer working with Visual Studio Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP, this training will help you understand why GP works the way it does and how best to develop your code against it.

GP Power Tools Training
- When: Sunday 11th October – as part of the Academy education program
- Duration: 1 day
- Audience: Anyone using, administering, supporting or developing for Microsoft Dynamics GP, or anyone interested in learning more about GP Power Tools.

If you are an existing GP Power Tools user or someone curious if it can help you (the answer is yes), please register for this workshop. If you want to learn about the many new features added in latest builds, including the Form Control module, which offers a “No Code/Low Code” customization solution for GP, and Custom Tables, Custom Fields and even Login Control (MFA and SSO for GP).

Testimonials
The following testimonials from previous attendees help explain the value:
I really enjoyed the Dexterity & GP Power Tools training and learned a huge amount from it. It genuinely opened my eyes to how Dynamics GP works behind the scenes and gave me a much deeper understanding of the platform. David was a fantastic trainer—knowledgeable, approachable, and great at explaining complex concepts in a way that made sense. I’d highly recommend the training to anyone wanting to deepen their Dynamics GP knowledge. And, of course, David’s hat was pretty cool too! – Arthur
David’s Dexterity training course was one of the most enjoyable technical courses I have attended. David’s knowledge is impressive, but what really stood out was his ability to make technical concepts understandable and interesting. I learned a lot and had a great time both in and out of the class. I am not a developer, but I learned enough to finish a complex project for my company. I would highly recommend any training with David! – Jeff
