David Meego - Click for blog homepageToday, I received an email from Terry Heley of Microsoft confirming that the End of Support date for Microsoft Dynamics GP has been extended by 3 months from 30th September 2029 to 31st December 2029.

This extension enables the Microsoft Dynamics GP development and support teams to release an End of Year (EOY) update to meet any of the payroll and tax requirements to complete the year.

Here is an excerpt from Terry’s email:

I’m thrilled to announce an update to the Microsoft Dynamics GP Lifecycle, thanks to the incredible power of our community!

Your feedback from Summit and other customer/partner events has been invaluable. As a result, we are extending the Dynamics GP end date to December 31, 2029!

Originally, product support and updates for Dynamics GP were set to end on September 30, 2029, with security patches continuing until April 30, 2031.

However, to better support you through the tax year-end, we are now extending the product support and updates end date to December 31, 2029 (security patches will still end on April 30, 2031).

This extension ensures that you won’t need to switch to a new ERP system mid-year. You’ll continue to receive updates for 1099, W2, T4, and RL-1 forms, along with US and Canada tax changes.

Your feedback is crucial to us, and we are committed to listening and supporting you through this transition. Thank you for being an essential part of our community!

The Product Lifecycle timeline has been updated to reflect this change:
