Last week, Terry Heley from Microsoft announced that the Microsoft Dynamics GP 18.5 Year End 2022 service pack has been released.
Since then, we have been asked numerous times if the Winthrop products are compatible with this new 18.05.1596 release. The short answer is yes.
The longer answer is that we have almost never had to release a new build when a service pack is released that has the same major and minor version numbers.
The already released builds created on the GP 18.5 RTM release (18.05.1556) are working correctly and no issues have been reported by any of the customer sites that have already updated.
Please note that if you are on a previous released of Microsoft Dynamics GP with a different major and minor version number (v18.4 or earlier), you will need to install the builds of our products for Microsoft Dynamics GP 18.5.
Just download and install the latest code for Microsoft Dynamics GP 18.5 from our website:
- GP Power Tools – Downloads
- Batch Posting Service Toolkit – Downloads
- Visual Studio Integration Toolkit – Downloads
You will need to log in once to any company as ‘sa’ or an equivalent user to update the SQL objects.
The registration keys will update automatically assuming the customer has a current subscription and is internet connected, see the article below for details:
The following articles provide more information on installing and updating our products. GP Power Tools should be installed on all workstations and servers where GP is installed:
- #GPPT Installing/Updating GP Power Tools
- #BPST: Installing/Updating Batch Posting Service Toolkit
- #VSIT: Installing/Updating Visual Studio Integration Toolkit
Also take this opportunity to ensure you have GP Power Tools fully set up:
Hope this information is helpful.
