Time to vote.

This is the sixth in a series of blog posts where I will be highlighting Microsoft Connect product suggestions that need the community’s support. If you agree with the product suggestion, please help get as many votes as you can.

The issue which is the subject of today’s article is to Rename Select Payables Checks, Edit Payables Check Batch, Edit Payables Check, Print Payables Checks, and Post Payables Checks windows, submitted by Mariano Gomez.

The product suggestion is to rename all of the “Check/Cheque” transaction windows in Microsoft Dynamics GP to use the term Payment. This is because paper checks/cheques are an old technology that is being used less and less and there are now new payment methods such as EFT and Credit Card Payments.

In many countries outside of North America, checks/cheques are almost never used. The last time I wrote a cheque was over a year ago and the one before that was about another year ago.

Here are the suggested windows to be renamed from the suggestion:

Select Payables Checks -> Build Payments Batch
Edit Payables Check Batch -> Edit Payment Batch
Edit Payables Check ->    Edit Vendor Payment
Print Payables Checks -> Print Payment Documents
Post Payables Checks -> Post Payment Documents
