#MySummitNA Community Summit 2023 Wrap Up and Thank You

I have been meaning to write this wrap up article for the Community Summit 2023 conference in Charlotte, NC, USA for the couple of weeks.
After the conference, I spent two weeks in the UK visiting family and also cycling 160km in three days across the entire country, coast to coast at its narrowest point along Hadrian’s Way (Cycle Route 72) which roughly follows Hadrian’s Wall.
Once back home and the adrenaline had worn off, I have spent about two weeks not feeling 100%. It often happens after travelling but could also be from being rained on the entire third day of the cycling trip.
I wanted to start by saying a heartfelt thank you to the Dynamics Communities team for organizing and running such a great event.
Also, thank you to all the fantastic people who attended the 2 training classes and 7 sessions I was involved with (and the 2 other sessions I popped into as a guest). I have looked at the feedback from the surveys and I am so happy that everyone enjoyed the sessions and got value from them.
A big thank you to all the people who visited the Winthrop Development Consultants Expo Booth 718. We were thrilled to see you. I love chatting with existing customers, soon to be customers, friends and everyone in this amazing community of ours.
Congratulations to Chris Adaline and the Wounded Warrior Project who won this year’s GP Power Tools Selfie #GPPTSelfie competition. They have won a full year’s subscription to all modules of GP Power Tools worth US$1450.
Finally, a massive thank you to everyone involved in acknowledging my work in the Dynamics Community. I am truly grateful for being presented with two awards at the conference. I give to the GP Community because I love sharing knowledge and helping others, but it is heartwarming and humbling to be recognized publicly.
During the Dynamics GP General Session, I was presented with the GPUG AllStar award for 2023 by Aaron Back along with Terry Heley and Kerry Hataley. I am wearing sunglasses because GP’s future is so bright!
Then on the Legends Stage in the Expo Hall I was presented with the Community Summit Legend award by Giuseppe Ianni. New Legends for 2023 also included Amber Bell and David Laster from the Microsoft Dynamics GP community.
I am thrilled to be part of the Community Summit Legends, there are so many amazing people in this group. Here are all the Legends who were at the award ceremony.

Hope to see you all again in San Antonio, TX, USA next year, 13-17 October 2024 at Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
David
