Great Vic Bike Ride 2019 – Day 6 | Port Fairy (Rest day)

David Meego - Click for blog homepageAs mentioned on my article Great Vic Bike Ride 2019 – Where is David? He is riding the Great Ocean Road, my wife Jennifer and I are off on an adventure cycling with 5,000 other like minded people across the beautiful south coast of Australia.

Jennifer will be riding a road bike tandem as pilot along with our vision impaired friend Meredith as stoker, and I will be supporting them as domestique on my single bike.

Below is an excerpt from the ride page located here for today’s section:

There’s so much to uncover in every corner of the charming village of Port Fairy that was recently voted the world’s most liveable town.

Whether you’re one to browse the boutique shops and antique stores scattered throughout the town, soak up the beach vibes or taste your way through the many great local  pubs, cafes and restaurants – there’s something to keep everyone busy on rest day.

Our top picks for the day include swimming at Pea Soup Beach, taking a walk along the riverfront or tucking into pizza at Coffin Sally. Top it off with a visit to the local ice cream shop and you’ll be ready to hop back on the bike for the next day’s riding.

Enjoy (while I relax)

David
